Application Process
Applying to The Beacon of Learning Academy is a straightforward process designed to ensure that all applicants have a fair and equal opportunity. We encourage you to review the following steps carefully:
Step 1: Review Admission Requirements
Before starting your application, please review the specific admission requirements for the program you are interested in. These requirements may vary depending on the level of study and the chosen field. You can find detailed information on our Programs page or by contacting our admissions office directly.
Step 2: Complete the Application Form
The application form is available online on our website. Please ensure that you fill out all sections accurately and completely. Incomplete applications may not be considered. You will need to provide personal information, educational history, and program preferences. A recent passport-sized photograph is also required.
Step 3: Submit Supporting Documents
In addition to the application form, you will need to submit the following supporting documents:
- Copies of academic transcripts and certificates
- A copy of your national identification card or passport
- Two letters of recommendation from teachers or mentors
- A personal statement outlining your academic goals and aspirations
- Proof of payment of the application fee (UGX 50,000)
Step 4: Attend an Interview (If Required)
Shortlisted candidates may be invited to attend an interview with our admissions committee. This interview provides an opportunity for us to learn more about you and your suitability for the program. You will be notified of the interview date and time via email or phone.
Step 5: Receive Admission Decision
Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an admission decision via email. If you are offered admission, you will need to accept the offer and pay the required tuition fees to secure your place.
Admission Requirements
The specific admission requirements vary depending on the program you are applying for. However, the following are general requirements for all applicants:
- A completed application form
- Academic transcripts and certificates
- National identification card or passport
- Letters of recommendation
- Personal statement
- Payment of application fee
For vocational training programs, we require a minimum of a Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with passes in at least five subjects. For diploma programs, we require a minimum of a Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least two principal passes.

Financial Aid and Scholarships
The Beacon of Learning Academy is committed to making education accessible to all deserving students, regardless of their financial background. We offer a range of financial aid and scholarship options to help students cover the cost of tuition and other expenses.
Scholarship Programs
We have several scholarship programs available, including:
- The Academic Excellence Scholarship: Awarded to students with outstanding academic records.

International Students
The Beacon of Learning Academy welcomes applications from international students. International students are required to meet the same admission requirements as domestic students, in addition to providing the following documents:
- A copy of your passport
- Proof of English proficiency (e.g., TOEFL or IELTS score)
- A student visa
- Medical insurance

Important Note: All application materials must be submitted in English. If your academic transcripts are not in English, you will need to provide certified translations.
